TheKaliGoddess, maybe so in the litteral meaning of the term, which amplifies the meaning of this song. Yet, there may be a place of rest or a time in one's life where we all wonder Ms Morissette's question " it is hard to conceive why we let our sisters, brothers, people die?"
Of course it is much easier to live life without wondering such questions because if no change can be brought for goodness than misery/hopelessness becomes a magnet to one's heart and mind

I believe (this is only a theory) that she lost someone she loves and so as she continued to grief over it she had a lot of time to think, and she came up with all this. Just a theoretical probability, but hey-atleast I tried. =)

you know quite honestly all of you people who sit here whining about how she should put this all on an album.... just stay hoping bc its not going to happen unless you show her we want it to happen
start writing letters,sending emails, and getting something done. NOTHING will happen if you dont TRY. (even tho chances r nothing will happen anyway..)
